Site Structure:
Grand River Supply manufactures and sells a wide variety of products that have been organized into categories.
The categories contain several subcategories of items or groups of items. All categories and subcategories
can be accessed from anywhere in the site where the category icons appear at the top of the page. Simply
mouse over a category icon and a drop-down menu will appear underneath. In addition, many areas of the
site are cross-linked from other areas.
Visual Cues:
Many 'icons' throughout the site are color-coded depending on whether they are active. For example,
when looking at doors, the 'selected' door is a darker color than the other doors displayed. The prices
shown reflect the selection above. To choose a different door, simply click on the picture of the door
and the appropriate price table will then be displayed. A more detailed explanation of using the door

Proposal Requests vs. Purchase Requests
Rather than a traditional "Shopping Cart" like many websites have, we use a "Saved Items" list that
you can add items to anytime. Once you have accumulated items in the list, you can decide whether you'd
like to purchase the items, or send us the list and ask for more information about any of the items.
Even if you decide to purchase the items, the transaction is not completed until we contact you with
shipping information and a final cost. You have final approval before any transaction is committed.
