Pre-hung units are fully assembled in our shop and ready for
installation at your location. Follow this link for important
information about Handing, Backset, Jambs, Bore and
Rough Opening.
When ordering doors, simply indicate to us in the comments
section of the order or proposal request that you would like your doors
pre-hung. We will contact you to get the necessary information.
An exterior pre-hung unit must seal and protect the interior of
the structure from the elements. For this reason heavier 1-3/4" exterior doors
are hung in weather stripped jambs using three 4" x 4" hinges which have a
standard satin brass finish (other finishes are availble
for an added cost). An oak adjustable threshold and vinyl door bottom are used
to completely seal the unit at the bottom. The pre-hung unit includes boring
the door for hardware. The components that are used to complete a unit are
listed here and are also available separately.
